To my sons future wife.
I pray for you daily. I pray the normal routine type of things. I pray that you are safe. I pray that others are kind to you and that you are kind to others. I pray that you are healthy and well. I pray that you are guided by God in all the steps you take as you go about your day. I pray that no weapon formed against you will prosper. I pray that you pray.
I pray that you are being raised in such way that you don’t see color, height, weight, or age. I pray that you are accepting of all. No matter what they may look like. I pray that you are kind to everyone that crosses your path, even when they cross you.
I pray that you are willing to listen and learn from others, but I also pray that you are steadfast in your convictions and don’t let others sway you. I pray that you know who you are in Christ at a young age. I pray that you don’t waiver from who you are in Christ over some thing or someone.
I pray that you are strong. I pray that you are adventurous. I pray that you are funny. I pray that you don’t take life too seriously. I pray that you are a fighter for what you believe to be right and true. I pray that you give in when you need to.
I pray that you are able to say “I’m sorry” and “I forgive you” easily. I pray that you are able to forget wrong doing when needed. I pray that you are able to be protect your heart. I pray that you are able to keep distance from people that are not uplifting or encouraging you.
I pray that you will be an encourager to my son. I pray that you will be strong willed and fight for yourself when needed with my son. I pray that you will speak kind words to my son. I pray that you will have all of your hearts desires fulfilled with my son. I pray that you will always feel beautiful with my son. I pray that you will always be vulnerable with my son. I pray that you will put God first in your life before my son.
I pray that you will value the sanctity and wholeness of marriage. Neither of you will be perfect, but I pray that both of you through Christ will learn to work together in harmony as long as the days of your lives will allow.
Don’t listen to those who tell you how hard marriage is, or how annoying it is when he brushes his teeth, or how you just grow apart sometimes. That does not have to be marriage. Marriage is beautiful. As frustrating as marriage can be sometimes our son is here as a result of a beautiful marriage. I pray your marriage is as beautiful and fulfilling as mine is and will continue to be. I (we) have raised my son to be the rock that you need. Steady and steadfast. God-centered. Kind. Loving. Forgiving. Helpful. Successful. And so many other things.
I have prayed for him as I have prayed for you. I know he will be what you need and want because my prayers have not fallen onto deaf ears. I know you will be what he needs and wants because my prayers for you have not gone unheard.
I am looking forward to a lifetime of fun, love, and joy with you.
You are already a part of our family and we don’t even know you. I rest in knowing that my heavenly father knows you and is preparing you for my son. I pray you have an easy, fun, memorable, Godly childhood. I, along with the whole family can’t wait to meet you.
