Love in a different sense of the word today. Do you love what you do day in and day out? Not every day is going to be perfect or even enjoyable, but as a whole do you do something you love every day? Life is too short to not do something that you love. Sometimes you have to be in a certain job and it is what it is. But at the end of the day do you do something that you love for yourself?

I tutored tonight and as much as I don’t want to go back to teaching, I truly love working with kiddos on things they need hlep with. I LOVED teaching during the season that I was doing it but now is not the time. However, I have found ways to do things I love for myself. It means taking time in the evenings every once in a while and working really hard, but it’s all worth it. I have something for me and something that makes me happy. If you don’t have that I encourage you to pray about what God would have you do. It doesn’t mean you get to quite your job. There are realities of the world that we have to deal with, but it doesn’t mean He wants you unhappy every single day. What do you love? If you don’t know ask God to show you and to show you how you can utilize that thing in your life.

It’s not silly to not know what you love to do. Each of us grow and change and our likes and dislikes change. God has given you a specific gifting or giftings though. It takes time to find these and find what you enjoy and how God would have you use it. It won’t happen overnight or even in a year sometimes. The important thing is that you seek out what God wants for your life and go for it. You deserve the best and He wants you to have the best.

I’ve done many things over the years. Dental assisting, teaching, tutoring, stay-at-home mom, blog, work from home mom…I finally feel like I am finding what I enjoy and what passions God has given me. To be honest, I am using each of these things every single day still. Isn’t that crazy?! All of the things I have done throughout the years are still benefiting me to this day.

So even if you are in a job that you don’t love. Don’t worry about it. God will use it and use you in ways you never even imagined. He could be honing in on a skill you are learning right now and you don’t even realize it. Every thing that you do is a step in the right direction if you are chasing after God and chasing after the things He loves.
